Samajwadi Party MLAs protest in UP Assembly ahead of Budget presentation

Lucknow, Feb 11 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) legislators staged a protest in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Wednesday ahead of the presentation of the state budget, wearing masks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump.
The opposition party said the demonstration was aimed at criticising what it described as the central government's policies being shaped under external pressure, which it claimed could adversely affect the country and the state economies.
Samajwadi Party MLA Atul Pradhan alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is "compromised" and that trade deals were allegedly made under pressure linked to the so-called “Epstein Files.” He further claimed such deals would harm Indian farmers and accused the prime minister of acting under pressure from Trump.
