New Delhi, Dec 12. (UNI) Indian Oil marked the first anniversary of the oil marketing company’s five kg free trade LPG (FTL) cylinders being renamed as 'Chhotu' which has now grown to be one of the most popular LPG brands in the country.
Since its rebranding, sales of Chhotu cylinders has seen a phenomenal growth of 58.5%. The corporation sells almost two lakh FTL cylinders on an average every month, across the country.
Padma Bhushan Sunil Gavaskar, who joined the celebrations in Mumbai on Sunday, said Chhotu will go on to become a valuable addition to each household in the coming years. The occasion was attended by SM Vaidya Chairman and V Satish Kumar, Director (Marketing).
“It's an honour to have the Little Master and Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar gracing the first birthday celebration of Indian Oil's own little master Chhotu Indane. Chhotu stands tall as a symbol of convenience, safety and reliability in the kitchen,” said SM Vaidya.
Chhotu Indane LPG is available at more than 20,000 touch points across the country. Customers wishing to purchase Chhotu can get the LPG cylinder from point of sales such as kirana stores, supermarkets, and Indian Oil retail outlets and LPG distributorships, by submitting a proof of identity. The easy to handle and carry cylinder is completely safe, meeting all BIS specifications.
