Saffron wave prevailing in Mah: Thackeray

Parbhani, Oct 14 (UNI) Exuding confidence that a saffron wave was prevailing across Maharashtra, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray has said that the BJP-SS alliance government would retain power in the state.

Addressing an election rally here at the ground of Dnyanopasak College on Sunday night in Parbhani constituency in support of party candidate and sitting MLA Rahul Patil, Mr Thackeray said the Opposition Congress-NCP were trying to mislead people during election campaigning, which was of no use, since the saffron alliance government would again come back to power in the state.

Talking about former chief minister Ashok Chavan, who is also contesting election from Bhokar constituency in Nanded district, Mr Thackeray said he was one of the sidelined leaders of Congress and the party was near-finished in the state.

He also accused NCP chief Sharad Pawar for stating that he was going to defeat the present ruling parties in the state Mr Thackeray said that,He has no thoughts and always trying to turn towards those parties coming in to power How can they defeat our government.

Talking about the Shiv Sena's role in NDA government, he said the Sena played major role to bring back NDA government and it will also continue in state government, he added.

Vishwanath Madhukar and MP Sanjay Jadhav were among other party office bearers, who were present on the occasion.
