SAD in contact with Dera Sacha Sauda to seek support in Lok Sabha polls : Jakhar

Jalandhar, Mar 15 (UNI) Punjab Congress President and MP Sunil Jakhar on Friday alleged that the Shiromani Akali Dal leadership is contacting the authorities of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda to seek support of the dera in the Lok Sabha polls.
Interacting with the media here, Mr Jakhar said that he was not making the allegation as a proxy one but is based on the statement of senior SAD leader and former cabinet minister Bibi Jagir Kaur, who in an interview given to a scribe of an English Daily in which she had said that though she was not going to the Sacha Dera but the SAD leadership can take any decision on this issue.
The Congress MP said that it had not remained a secret that the SAD leadership made it possible to get Dera chief Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh pardoned from the Akal Takht for his sins including imaging and dressing himself like Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji.
He said that Congress had edge in the state and would not only fair well in the Lok Sabha elections but would win all the 13 seats of the state.
