Yavatmal, Feb 16 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reiterated that the sacrifices of soldiers won’t go in vain in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama terror attack.
Mr Modi was at Pandharkawa in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra to address a congregation of women from self-help groups (SHGs). This was the second visit of the PM to Yavatmal.
In his hard-hitting speech, Mr Modi said, "I wish to assure the nation that the supreme sacrifices of our soldiers in the Pulwama terror attack will not go in vain."
The PM further warned howsoever the terrorist outfits try to hide, whosoever forces may be behind the act of terrorism, will not be spared. "The perpetrators of this attack will be definitely punished," he said and added they will have to pay a very heavy price for that.
In an apparent reference to Pakistan, Mr Modi said, "a country that came into existence after India's partition and is on verge of bankruptcy, has become the home of terrorism today."
Mr Modi further said his government is committed to the security of the country and its development.
Expressing sympathies with the families of the victims of the terror attacks, the Prime Minister said, "the nation is proud of our security forces and has full faith in them."
The country understands the anger of the army and CRPF personnel, Modi said and added that the security forces have been given complete freedom to deal with the terrorists.
Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated various development projects at Pandharkawda in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra.
