SAC gives nod to welfare for disabled persons’ bill, objectionable drugs ads' bill

Srinagar, Jul 4 (UNI) The State Administrative Council (SAC) on Wednesday gave nod to the enactment of the ‘The Jammu and Kashmir State Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Bill, 2018” and ‘Jammu and Kashmir Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Bill, 2018’.
An official spokesperson here said that Governor N N Vohra on Wednesday chaired the second meeting of the SAC at Raj Bhavan.
“The Jammu and Kashmir State Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Bill, 2018 aims at empowering persons with disabilities, to live independently by providing them support, extending support to registered organizations to provide need based services to families of persons with disabilities, promoting measures for care and protection of such persons and realization of equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation of persons with disabilities,” he said.
