Moscow, Nov 8 (UNI) Russia will complete the delivery of S-400 Triumf air defense systems to India by the spring of 2023, a military-diplomatic source said here on Thursday.
"Russia will supply to India five regimental sets of S-400. Each will consist of a regimental command center and two battalions of launchers (eight apiece in each). In the autumn of 2020, it will provide the first regimental set. The second one will be delivered the next year. Then it will supply the third, fourth and fifth sets. The delivery of the fifth one will be completed in the spring of 2023,' the source said.
The value of the contract was $5.43 billion, the source confirmed, reported the TASS.
He foresees no problems with production, the director of the federal service for military-technical cooperation, Dmitry Shugayev said.
The contract for the missile shield was sealed on October 5, 2018, in New Delhi .
