Russia’s transneft confirms suspension of oil delivery via Ukraine

Moscow, Aug 9 (UNI) Russian’s Transneft company confirms that Ukrtransnafta, a company providing oil transportation services via Ukraine, has suspended delivery of oil via the southern stream of the Druzhba pipeline to Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia as the Russian side is unable to pay due to the EU sanctions, Igor Demin, an aide to the president of Transneft, told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"Indeed, Ukrtransnafta completely stopped delivery oil to Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia along the southern stream of Druzhba on August 4 at 6.10 am. At the same time, transit through Belarus towards Poland and Germany continues," Demin said.
Demin added that the Ukrainian side provides services on condition of full prepayment.
