Russia, Indonesia hold joint drills in Java Sea

Moscow, Nov 11 (UNI) Russian and Indonesian ships conducted joint exercises in the Java Sea to free a vessel captured by "terrorists" and counter unmanned boats, the Pacific Fleet said on Monday.
"The first joint naval exercise of the Russian and Indonesian Navy ships, Orruda-2024, took place in the Java Sea," the statement said.
It is noted that on the first day, the crews of the joint detachment of ships conducted maneuvering and communications training, and also practiced inspecting suspicious vessels, blocking and freeing a vessel that had been identified as being seized by "terrorists."
