Moscow, Sep 3 (UNI) Russia and India will present next year's energy projects planned in cooperation on Wednesday, at the summit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ambassador to Russia D Bala Venkatesh Varma on Tuesday told Sputnik that there was a five-year plan for cooperation and one year plan of the specific activities that have been agreed between Indian minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Russian minister Alexander Novak last week.
"Those will be announced during the summit," Varma added.
In his earlier remarks to reporters, the ambassador said that the plan covered many areas of cooperation, including oil, gas, prospects of LNG deliveries from Russia and Russian investments in India's energy sector, said a Sputnik report.
When asked by Sputnik if the agreements on LNG covered any specific projects, such as Novatek's Arctic or Yamal LNG projects, the ambassador said that "all [were] included."
The diplomat added that Rosneft, Gazprom and Novatek as well as many other Russian companies were already in touch with their Indian colleagues.
Putin and Modi will be meeting on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. They are expected to have a long tete-a-tete followed by a one-on-one dinner, according to the diplomat.
India expects 35 to 40 memorandums of understanding with Russia to be announced during the summit, Varma said earlier in the day.
