Russia continues to operate ISS segment even if US withdraws from Project

Moscow, Mar 25 (UNI) Russia intends to continue to operate its segment of the International Space Station (ISS) even if the United States decides to withdraw from the project, head of Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said on Monday.
"We believe that we can preserve the station after Americans decide to leave the project, with the help of other ISS partner countries. We have technical and technological capacity to keep the station in the orbit, fully provide it with power supplies, air regeneration and other important things," Rogozin said.
ISS project participants have agreed to operate the orbital outpost until 2024, with negotiations aimed at extending the service life of the ISS until 2028-2030 currently underway.
