Russia consistently develops relations with Asia-Pacific countries: Kremlin

Moscow, Nov 18 (Sputnik) Russia is consistently developing its relations with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region avoiding any abrupt moves in its foreign policy, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.
"Let us remember that Russia is not making any breakthroughs in its foreign policy. Russia is too big to a country make any abrupt moves. Russia is consistently building relations with the countries of the region. We are interesting in that," Peskov told the Rossiya-1 broadcaster answering a question on whether Russia was going to strengthen its positions in the Asia-Pacific region amid weakening US positions there.
The statement was made after Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev took part in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Singapore that ended on Sunday.
