RUSA Director assures special provision for NE states

Kohima, May 27 (UNI) A special provision to improve higher education will be made exclusively for the North Eastern States, National Mission Director of RUSA and secretary of HRD Ministry,R Subramanyam, has said.
Asserting that all educational institutions in the North East region were “still very young,” Nagaland Higher and Technical Education Minister Temjen Imna Along has asked the Union government to provide “special package to the struggling institutions”, a release issued by Nagaland State Project Director of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) stated.
Addressing a meeting of RUSA phase 2 Project Approval Board (PAB) meeting on Friday, Mr Temjen highlighted that the north-eastern states depends entirely on Central funding to develop its educational institutions since they have no internal revenue.
