Rural Girls' School from Jharkhand earns National Honour for Water Conservation efforts

Ranchi, Nove 11 (UNI) Setting an inspiring example of environmental responsibility, Jharkhand Balika Aawasiya Vidyalaya (JBAV), Rahe, has won the joint third position in the 6th National Water Awards under the Best School (Educational Institution) category.
The award, announced by the union Ministry of Jal Shakti in New Delhi on Tuesday, recognizes the school's innovative and community-driven efforts in water conservation and sustainable water management.
Located on the outskirts of Ranchi, JBAV Rahe stood out for its rainwater harvesting system, water recycling measures, and awareness drives conducted under the 'Jal Hi Jeevan Hai' campaign. The initiative, led by students and teachers, not only ensured efficient use of water on campus but also spread awareness in nearby villages.
