Rupee up by 9 paise against USD

Mumbai, Nov 25 (UNI) The Rupee on Wednesday further rallied by nine paise to close at 73.91 against the US Dollar on brisk buying of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit that moved up by 4 paise to 73.96 against the Dollar in early trade, gained further by 9 paise to close at 73.91 as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee edged up because of weak Dollar against other world currencies despite weak stock market, dealers added.

The rupee registered intra days high and low at 74.03 and 73.88 respectively, he added.
