Mumbai, Nov 21 (UNI) The Rupee on Thursday went up by five paise to 71.76 on fresh selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The domestic unit fell by eight paise to 71.89. In opening trade later it erased earlier losses and ended positive at 71.76, gaining by five paise as compared to its last close.

The local unit recorded day's high and low at 71.89 and 71.72 respectively.

The Rupee moved up owing to weak Dollar against other world currencies, the dealer added.
