Rupee up by 13 paise against USD

Mumbai, Jul 19 (UNI) Snapping a losing streak of last three sessions, the Rupee on Friday recovered by 13 paise to 68.81 against the greenback on selling of US Dollars from bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

Sliding by 40 paise in last three sessions, the local unit jumped by 20 paise to 68.74 in early trade till the end of the day it slightly declined from opening level but finished positive only at 68.81, advancing by 13 paise as compared to its last close.

High fluctuation was seen during the day as it registered day high and low at 68.95 and 68.72 respectively.

The Indian currency bounced back owing to weak dollar against other world currencies, however, slumping equity market capped from further gain, dealers added.
