Rupee recovers by 9 paise against USD

Mumbai, Jan 17 (UNI) The Rupee on Thursday recovered by 9 paise to trade at 71.15 against the US Dollar on Selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, Amid easing Crude oil prices, dealers at Forex Market said.



Positive opening in domestic equities and weakening green-back in overseas markets supported the Rupee.

However ,Sustained foreign fund outflows, however, restricted the Rupee ‘up-move’, they added.

High fluctuation was seen in the local unit as it recorded intra day high and low at 71.37 and 71.13 respectively.

The Rupee on Wednesday plunged by 20 paise to close at 71.24 against the US dollar.
