Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) The Rupee on Wednesday rose by nine paise to 72.60 against the Dollar on selling of American currency from exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit advanced by 8 paise to 72.61 in early trade.

Finally, it closed positive at 72.60, up by 9 paise as compared to its last close.



High oscillation was witnessed during the day, as it registered day high and low at 72.74 and 72.52 respectively.

Weak dollar against world currencies pushed the Indian currency up however, negative equity market capped from its further rise, they added.
