Rupee loses 11 paise against USD

Mumbai, Jul 18 (UNI) The Rupee on Thursday lost another 11 paise to end negative at 68.94 on brisk demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex Market said.

The local unit that rose by 8 paise to 68.75 in opening trade, erased earlier gain and finished negative at 68.94,

easing by 11 paise as compared to its last close.

The Indian currency was seen weak for second straight session on firm dollar against other world currencies and weak equity market, dealers said.

High oscillation was seen during the intra day trade on Thursday as it registered day high and low at 68.99 and 68.72 respectively, they added.
