Mumbai, Dec 14 (UNI) The Rupee on Friday declined by 21 paise to
71.89 on brisk demand for the greenback by bankers and importers,
dealers at Forex Market said.
The domestic unit decline due to strengthening of the US dollar
against other currencies overseas.
According to forex dealers, fresh foreign fund inflows capped the
rupee’s losses.
The domestic unit opened on a weak note at 71.80 at the interbank
forex market today.
The local unit recorded intra day high and low at 72.05 and
71.69 respectively.
On Thursday the rupee snapping it three day downward streak rose by
33 paise to end postive at 71.68 against USD.
