Rupee down by 38 paise against USD

Rupee down by 38 paise against USD

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) The Rupee on Thursday weakened past 70 mark to 70.25, down by 37 paise against the greenback, a 6 week low tracking declines in other Asian currencies amid continued strength in the dollar, dealers at forex market said.



In opening trade, the local unit fell by 12 paise to 69.99.

Till the end of the day it lost by 38 paise to 70.25 as compared to its last close.

High oscillation was witnessed during the day as it registered day high and low at 70.28 and 69.96 respectively.

Firm dollar against other world currencies kept the Indian currency down for another day, dealer informed.
