Rupee down by 2 paise against USD

Mumbai, Jul 10 (UNI) The Rupee on Wednesday eased by two paise to 68.56 against the greenback on brisk demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex Market informed.

The local unit slid by seven paise to 68.61 in opening trade.

Later, it ended negative only at 68.56, easing by two paise as compared to its last close.

Narrow fluctuation was seen during intra day session as it registered day high and low at 68.67 and 68.54 respectively.

The Indian currency was seen weak because of strong dollar against other world currencies along with negative equity market, they added.
