Ruling YSRCP heading for massive victory in ZPTC, MPTC elections, sweeps 90 percent of seats

Kakinada, Sept 19 (UNI) As wasexpected, the ruling YSRCP is heading for a massive victory in the elections held for ZPTC and MPTC seats by capturing almost ninety percent of the seats, results of which were declared on Sunday till 2000hrs.
The counting of votes for 61 ZPTC posts and 999 MPTC seats which commenced at 0800 hrs on Sunday is currently in progress and the counting is expected to be completed by midnight.
The trend is in conformity with the expectations and has almost been a one sided affair as the opposition Telugu Desam party boycotted the elections. However some of the TDP men chose to contest with the consent from the party on local issues.
