Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jul 14 2016 1:28PM Ruling JD(U) Gen Secy, former MLA suspended for violating prohibition in BiharPatna, Jul 14 (UNI) The ruling JD(U) headed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today suspended party general secretary and former MLA Lalan Ram after he was arrested for violating prohibition in the state. State JD(U) chief Basisth Narayan Singh said Mr Ram had been suspended from party’s membership for violating the ban on consuming liquor and giving a bad name to the party after complete prohibition came into force from April 5 this year. Mr Ram is the second ruling party leader after sitting MLC Manorama Devi to have been arrested and suspended on the charges of violating liquor ban in the state.
