Rule of law would be maintained and prohibition would continue strictly

Patna , Feb 26 ( UNI) Outlining the role of Police in maintaining law and order and harmony in the society Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday said that the process for appointment on 10,000 posts in police department is in progress and firmly reiterated that rule of law would be maintained in the state and prohibition would strictly continue to remain enforced.
Addressing Bihar Police week 2021, Mr Kumar elaborated here today the steps initiated by the government to strengthen the police department.
He said that in order to improve the working of the police more than 50,000 appointments were made in the department during the past 15 years and the process for over 10,000 appointments is in progress.
