RSP registers high-performance production in Hot metal, Crude steel, Saleable steel

Bhubaneswar, Oct 7 (UNI) Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of the Maharatna company SAIL has registered its ‘best-ever’ H1 production performance in Hot Metal, Crude Steel and Saleable Steel.
RSP sources on Friday said in the April-September period of the Financial Year 2022-23, the Plant produced 2128528 tonnes of Hot Metal, 1991121 tonnes of Crude Steel and 1837458 tonnes of Saleable Steel which are highest for any H1 with an improvement of 1.3percent, 1.9 per cent and 3.6 per cent respectively over the previous best H1 achieved in the last fiscal.
The total sinter production too touched an all-time high of 3492367 tonnes during the period. The State-of-the-art Hot Strip Mill-2 led the Rolling Mill units by rolling 697000 Tonnes of HR Coil for sale and thereby achieving 101 per cent of the APP target for the H1.
