New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha on Monday bid a farewell to its 57 retiring members.
Giving this information to the House, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said in the next four months, 57 members are retiring from the House.
The Chairman said among those retiring, five members are on the panel of Deputy Chairman Harivansh.
He said the members representing 20 states will be re-elected. It includes Deputy Chairman Harivansh and eight women members.
Mr Naidu wished the retiring members good health and urged new Members to follow the good examples set by them.
Two-third members of the House retires in every two years.
