New Delhi, Jul 18 (UNI) The Bahujan Samaj Party today raised an uproar in the Rajya Sabha, on the opening day of the Monsoon session, over the alleged atrocities against Dalits in Gujarat, forcing a brief adjournment of the House during Question hour. Soon after the oath of affirmation by newly elected , re-elected and nominated Members, BSP chief Mayawati raised the issue of atrocities against Dalits in Gujarat. She alleged that some persons, practising their profession of skinning, were publicly insulted by a few people in Gujarat while the local police remained a mute spectator to the incident. She demanded that the Central government intervene into the matter and take action against those involved in the incident.
