Rs 84,000 seized from Pakur Zilla Parishad Chairman

Pakur, Nov 13 (UNI) Members of the Static Surveillance Team (SST) have seized a sum of Rs 84,000 in cash from Pakur Zilla Parishad Chairman Babudhan Murmu in this district.
During a vehicle checking drive at Dharampur village, the cash was recovered from the vehicle of Murmu. On the other hand, Murmu claimed that after medical treatment of a family member he was returning to Pakur from Sahebganj when the money was seized.
Murmu said that the money was being carried for medical treatment only. Further probe was on.
Voting in Pakur is scheduled in the fifth and the last phase on December 20.
