Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Nov 6 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday announced that the state government has prepared an action plan of Rs 7,000 crore to overcome current drought situation across several parts of the state and said the plan will be submitted to the central government today itself.
Addressing mediapersons after a meeting held to review drought condition in Osmanabad district of Marathawada region with all top brass officials at district collectorate there, Mr Fadnavis indicated that there is a possibility that the central government may announce financial assistance in January next year.
The Chief Minister said that taking into consideration availability of very limited water resources, the state has worked out a plan to tackle drinking water shortage and promised to provide adequate funds for the same.
