Rs 45.39 cr spent on preservation of Wullar Lake

Srinagar, Oct 16 (UNI) An amount of Rs 45.39 crore has been utilised to preserve world famous Wullar lake, which is one of the largest fresh water lakes in Asia.
An official spokesperson here today said in order to conserve natural resources including water bodies and forests, a series of measures have been devised by the Central and State governments.
"Various agencies and committees came into existence for monitoring and strict implementation of the proposed plans and schemes to safeguard and preservation of these resources," he said.
