Rs 2,000 cr development works carried out in Panchkula dist in last 5 yrs: Khattar

Chandigarh, Aug 18 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that development works to the tune of Rs 2,000 crore have been carried out in Panchkula district during the last five years.
Addressing the people at Majri Chowk in Panchkula district on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that the four-lane road from Panchkula to Yamunanagar has been constructed at a cost of Rs 611 crore. Apart from this, Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is also being constructed at a cost of Rs 160 crore.
He said that a road would also be constructed from Chandigarh Airport to Panchkula, for which, the talks with Punjab Government has been held. He said that an under pass would also be constructed to connect Sector 16-17 of Panchkula by road from railway station Chandigarh.
