Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 20 (UNI) Kerala Government has spent Rs 184.29 crore towards the welfare of endosulfan victims so far, State Revenue Minister E Chandrasekharan has said.
The Government strengthened the activities of Special Cell for Rehabilitation of endosulfan victims by reconstituting it with Revenue minister as its Chairman. This cell regularly looks after the well-being of the victims.
A total of Rs 1,54,44,331 has been distributed among various banks in order to waive loans up to Rs 50,000 of the victims. Instructions have been given to banks and the employees concerned to issue non-liability certificate to the debtors, the Minister said in a release here on Sunday.
