RPF jawan guns down three in Ramgarh

Ramgarh, Aug 18 (UNI) A jawan of the RPF gunned down three members of a family, including a pregnant woman, at Gandhinagar Railway Colony under Barkakana OP of this district.
The RPF jawan Pawan Kumar Singh killed Ashok Ram (56), his wife Lilawati Devi (52) and their pregnant daughter Meena Devi (30). Two others sustained serious injuries in the incident, which included the couple's daughter Suman and son Sanjay, who have been sent to RIMS Ranchi for treatment.
The deceased Ashok Ram used to work as a potter at Bhurkunda Railway Station while his wife Lilawati Devi was a fourth grade staff at the Ramgarh DC office.
Ramgarh SP Prabhat Kumar said that last night accused Pawan Singh went to Ashok Ram's house and opened indiscriminate firing in which five of the family members sustained bullet injuries. Three of them died while two others were critical, he added.
He said that raids were on to nab the killer jawan.
Upon receiving information, DIG Pankaj Kamboj, too, reached the spot and inquired into the incident.
One of the daughters of the deceased Ashok Ram, Priyanka, who survived the attack, said that the accused Singh use to buy milk from them and had not paid money since long. Therefore for the last couple of weeks he was not being given milk, and he executed the killings out of anger.
