Rowdy elements attack cops, inflict stab wounds in AP

Kakinada, Nov 28 (UNI) Two police constables suffered stab wounds when they went to rescue their relation from attack by rowdy elements in Kondaiahpalem area here on Friday night, police sources said.

The Cops- one is a constable of the district armed reserve and the other is from anti-Naxal squad. Their cousin while returning home from his work place in a nearby fast food centre was roughed up by the rowdy elements around midnight and these two cops who were residing in the same area on receipt of SOS from him rushed to his rescue but they were attacked with knives and in the melee suffered stab wounds.
