Ropar IIT, ANSYS to install negative pressure chambers for COVID-19 patients in Punjab

Ropar, Jun 3 (UNI) Ropar IIT, in association with Ansys Software Private Limited, Indian subsidiary of ANSYS Inc, has joined forces to install low-cost negative pressure cabins in the government medical centers in the Ropar district of Punjab.
Ansys has donated funds to Ropar IIT under CSR agreement towards installation of these cabins, according to a Ropar IIT release here on Wednesday.
Ropar IIT, with simulation technology support from Ansys to its Research and Development efforts, has developed low cost negative pressure chambers for isolating COVID-19 patients under the guidance of Dr Dhiraj K Mahajan, an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
