Roma renew three-year deal with Dzeko

Rome, Aug 17 (Xinhua) Bosnia and Herzegovina international striker Edin Dzeko has inked a new contract with Roma, the club announced on Saturday.
The 33-year-old signed a new three-year deal with the club, ending a speculation that he would possibly move to Inter Milan.
"I realized just how much they wanted me to stay," Dzeko said. "Here there is everything we need to win something and I am delighted to be able to stay here even longer."
In his four seasons with the Serie A club since joining from Manchester City in August 2015, he scored 87 goals and 179 appearances, making him the top goalscorer in Serie A in the 2016-17 season and the joint-seventh on the club's list of all-time leading scorers.
Roma finished the sixth last season and will kickoff the new season at home against Genoa on August 25.
