Jammu, Feb 14 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Director Information, Nitish Rajora on Saturday stressed that the role of the media extends beyond reporting facts to shaping informed, balanced and responsible public opinion.
While highlighting the vital responsibility of journalists in the present scenario, while speaking at a day-long workshop on ‘Ethical Journalism and the Evolving Landscape of Journalism’, for Mediapersons of Jammu here at Media Complex, organised by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Rajora said, “Journalists today operate in a fast-paced environment where information travels instantly. This makes adherence to ethical principles like accuracy, fairness, objectivity and accountability more important than ever.”
He also underscored the need for continuous capacity building to keep pace with technological advancements and evolving audience expectations.
