Rohit, Gill fail to deliver in their Ranji return

New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Star batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill endured a forgettable day as the second leg of the Ranji Trophy saw high drama on challenging pitches across the country on Thursday.
Both Rohit and Shubhman, returning to domestic cricket, failed to deliver with the bat, leaving their teams in precarious positions.
In Mumbai, Rohit Sharma’s much-awaited Ranji Trophy return after nearly a decade ended in disappointment as the Indian opener managed only 3 runs off 19 balls. His stay at the crease was cut short by a rising delivery from Jammu & Kashmir’s Umar Nazir, caught off a leading edge while attempting a half-pull into the leg side.
