Robotic Surgical System inaugurated at SKIMS

Srinagar, Dec 7 (UNI) A Robotic Surgical System was on Saturday inaugurated at S K Institute Medical Sciences (SKIMS) to improve the patient care at the premier hospital in the summer capital, Srinagar.
A spokesperson of SKIMS said that as a major step towards betterment of patient care SKIMS held demonstration of Robotic Surgical System “Da Vinci Robot” which was inaugurated by Director SKIMS/EOSG, Dr A G Ahangar on Saturday at the hospital auditorium. “The doctors, residents of the institute had hands on training and experience on Robotic Surgical System,” she said.
She said that the experts underlined that with this system various urological/gynecological and colorectical, neurosurgical and cardio-thyrosic procedures are performed with excellent results. “Kidney transplantation, open heart procedures are also done with excellent results/output,” she said.
