Road mishap claims two lives in UP's Ballia

Ballia, Aug 20 (UNI) Two people were killed when a jeep overturned in the Gadwar area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Tuesday.
According to sources here, Mantu Gond (35), resident of Gadwar town was returning home in a jeep with Anwar Ali (40), who was driving the vehicle.
The speeding jeep turned turtle in an attempt to overtake another vehicle near Chogda Chatti, leading to on the spot death of Mantu while Anwar succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at a hospital.

Lucknow, Aug 15 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said that in order to realise the concept of social justice, when the population figures come out according to the population, then only proportional opportunity will be available to everyone.
Addressing a function organised at the party headquarters after hoisting the flag, Mr Yadav said that taking the pledge to complete the unfinished tasks of the freedom fighters including Gandhi ji, Acharya Narendra Dev, Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia and Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, by walking on their path, would be a memorandum of our reverence and gratitude to them.
He said, "Today is also the day of self-realisation as to where we have reached in comparison to other countries of the world in 74 years." Where do we stand in areas of jobs, education, health and employment.
