Jaunpur, Feb 22(UNI) Three people died when their motorcycle was hit by a SUV while trying avoid a collision with a cow in Chandvak area here, police said here on Saturday.
They were identified as Rajendra Prasad ( 32), Mukesh Kumar (21) and Ashish Gautam( 19), native of Tudwapar village under Kerakat police station area in the district.
According to the police, while two bothers, died on the spot in the accident which occurred on Friday night, the third one succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police has seized the SUV but the driver managed to escape.
A case was registered and further investigation was underway, police added.
