Tiruchirpalli, Aug 18 (UNI) Eight people, including three children were killed and nine others sustained severe injuries, when a mini truck skidded off the road and plunged into a roadside well at S S Pudur near Thuraiyur here on Sunday, police said.
According to police, they were returning to their native after attending a local temple festival,when the driver lost control over the vehicle after one of its tyre's burst, leading to the accident.
The injured were rushed to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Head Quarters Hospital here, police further said.
