Chandigarh, Dec 29 (UNI) Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday gave in-principle approval for accelerated speed rail route with sufficient capacity between Delhi and Hisar, in view of the international airport being established at Hisar, by Haryana government.
Mr Goyal issued necessary directions to the officers in this regard, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, after emerging out of his meeting with the Union Railway Minister in New Delhi, where he discussed railway development projects in the state.
In view of this approval, norms of speed rail route would be adopted for the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi railway line.
Mr Khattar said the tendering process had been completed for elevating the Rohtak-Gohana-Panipat rail line at Rohtak, and work would begin by March-end.
Mr Goyal has issued directions that a survey be conducted for shifting Jind-Panipat railway line to Jind, and work should be taken up on six RoBs and RuBs to be built in the state, he added.
