RLDA to hold online pre-bid meeting for re- development of Puducherry Railway station

Puducherry, Jun 4 (UNI) ‘Rail Land Development Authority’ (RLDA), an organization under the Ministry of Railways is gearing up to conduct an online pre-bid meeting for the re-development of Puducherry Railway station amidst COVID 19 Pandemic.
A RLDA release here on Thursday said, the two online pre-bid meetings will be conducted through video conferencing on June 10 and 17.
The station will be redeveloped with the state-of-the-art amenities such as provision for differently abled, harmonious co-existence of the Railway station and real estate projects, green building among others on the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer(DBFOT) model.
The cost of the project is estimated at Rs 44 crore. The tender as of now is scheduled to be awarded by the end of August.
The selected bidder will be required to undertake the up-gradation and redevelopment of the Puducherry railway station, including the commercial development of the surrounding railway land followed by its operation and maintenance.

Kakinada, Jul 12 (UNI) On receiving alert message on Sunday from Indian Coast Guard regional Headquarters over presence of a Sri Lankan fishing vessel in Indian Waters in Bay of Bengal off Kakinada coast, the Coast Guard ship Priya Darshini which was patrolling in the area has spotted it and apprehended for violation of maritime regulations and intruding into Indian territorial waters.
