RJD demands resignation of Bihar Health Minister

Patna, Jun 25 (UNI) RJD today asked Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey to resign from his post, owning moral and administrative responsibility for deaths of children in Muzaffarpur and adjoining areas due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).

RJD vice-president and former minister Shivanand Tiwari said here that Bihar`s image was dented due to high number of deaths of children due to AES in Muzaffarpur district and adjoining areas. He said even Supreme Court was asking questions on deaths of the children. In such a situation the state health minister should resign from his post.
