Rising Himachal 2019 Roadshow held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 31 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur on Thursday that his government is organizing its maiden Global Investors Meet in 2019 at Dharmshala from June 10-11 to demonstrate our commitment to promoting equitable growth across the State and making it globally competitive and a leader among Indian states.
Addressing a road show here for the 1st edition of Rising Himachal Global Investors’ Meet 2019, Thakur said we have organised this meet to highlight Himachal Pradesh before the whole world for the first time as a place for investment and opportunities.
The sectoral sessions at the summit would generate new ideas for development of the State, Mr. the CM said.
Apart from addressing representatives from over 100 companies, Thakur also had meetings with leading companies including Apollo Hospitals, Dr Reddys Lab, Ramky Enviro Engineers, ITC Ltd, DP Chocolates, Greenko Energy, Puzzolana Group, Micromax, MNR Group, 2E knowledge Ventures, NephroPlus, Dodla Dairy to discuss their investment plans for Himachal Pradesh.
Along with industrial growth, he emphasized the government's focus on ensuring good health and wellbeing of all, providing quality education, access to affordable and clean energy, inclusive and sustainable industrialization, high economic growth and sustainable cities and towns.
In terms of skill development, he said, "With a host of universities, engineering and management colleges and medical colleges, the state ensures a steady supply of skilled human capital for the industries. Moreover, we aim at skilling more than 1 lakh youth in the next 4 years"
The Chief Minister also underlined the tourism potential of the state informing the participants about the prospect and possibilities of tourism including the variety of choices the state offers.
He also highlighted pure air and biodiversity as the biggest assets of the state and its endeavours to make Himachal Pradesh as a leading global sustainable tourism destination in the world.
Speaking on the occasion, Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Bikram Singh said that the state is now geared up to attract investors across sectors like, Logistics and Warehousing, Aroma, Food Processing, Biotechnology, Automobiles and Electric Vehicles.
Elaborating further on the investment potential of Himachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Mr Manoj Kumar also highlighted the importance of industrial infrastructure in the state and initiatives taken by their department towards it.
In his power point presentation, Mr Manoj shared that Himachal Pradesh has over 1600 acres of land bank for industries is coming up with industrial parks like Bulk Drug Pharma Park and Biotechnology Park in Solan, Integrated Industrial townships in Una & Kangra and Textile Park in Una.
Himachal Pradesh Principal Secretary ( Power) Mr Prabodh Saxena, highlighted about the investment opportunities in the state in smart city projects in Shimla and Dharmashala.
He also presented the investment opportunities in the Renewable energy sector.
