Rigorous imprisonment for corrupt Inspector in Nashik

Nashik, Jan 30 (UNI) The district sessions court sentenced one year rigorous imprisonment to the Assistant Police Inspector who was arrested by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Nashik in August 2010 for accepting bribe from a complainant.
The complainant's vehicle meet in an accident , the Asst Police inspector of Ambad police station Nashik Narandra Damu Valvi demanded bribe of Rs. 3000 from complainant for not to take action against the complainant and given copy of panchanama of the accident.
The complainant was approached to ACB office and registered complaint against the inspector after which ACB officials trapped him while taking bribe on 28 august 2010. A case in this matter was registered at Ambad police station.
