Richa Ghosh credits South Africa, eyes strong comeback

New Delhi Oct 10 (UNI) India wicketkeeper batter Richa Ghosh credited South Africa for their spirited performance after India suffered three wicket defeat in their ICC Women's World Cup 2025 clash and promised the team would ‘learn and improve’ ahead of their tough upcoming stretch of games at the World Cup.
According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), India suffered their first ICC Women's Cricket World Cup defeat at the hands of a defiant South Africa. But the mood is set to remain calm and determined inside the Indian camp, as they begin preparation for a stretch of games against fellow contenders.
Richa Ghosh (94 off 77) starred with the bat for India, as they set a target of 252 before the Proteas chased it down with seven balls to spare.

France's Loubineaud shatters men's 5,000m world record at speed skating World Cup

Washington, Nov 15 (UNI) France's Timothy Loubineaud broke the men's 5,000-meter world record at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup season-opening leg in Salt Lake City with a time of 6:00.23, more than one second faster than the previous mark of 6:01.56 set by Sweden's Nils van der Poel.
"I never expected this in my life. As a French guy, we don't have any tracks in France, and I'm also not the most talented guy," Loubineaud, who transitioned from inline skating only seven years ago, told the ISU official website.
